Windows / MacOS Version

The previous site referenced a Windows / MacOS version of Temperature Display and Record, with separate Windows installation and MacOS app downloads. Those files should remain available if they are still supported.

Android Version - Read and Record USB Thermometer

Note that there is no mobile iOS version as Apple only allows specific external devices to send data through a wired connection.

Only compatible with North Star Sensors USB temperature probes.

How to use:

1. Plug USB temperature probe into Android device using provided USB adapter.
2. Press “Ok” at the prompt to allow the app to open and access the temperature measurement device.
3. Press “Connect to New Device” to begin displaying temperature data.
4. The temperature units can be changed between Celsius and Fahrenheit.
5. “Pause” can be pressed to freeze a reading in place. “Resume” can then be pressed to bring the reading back to a live display.
6. “Start Recording” can be pressed to start a recording and bring up a graph. “Stop Recording” will then be an option which will end the recording session.
7. The recording interval can be changed using the drop-down menu to be 100 milliseconds, 1 second, or 10 seconds.
8. “Save Plot” can then be pressed to save all readings to an Excel file on the local device. A custom note can be added to the custom note field which will also be saved to the Excel file.
9. “Clear Plot” can be pressed to reset the recording and graph.

This first pass preserves the product and download information visually within the site while keeping the external Google Play listing intact.
